When products are made to measure, a configurator has a harder job. A customer can change the dimensions by a few millimetres, add side or top glass, switch the opening direction and combine a long list of finishes and hardware. Every one of those choices has to reach the sales team exactly as the customer made it.
A typical configurator shows the product and stops there. The team is left to rebuild the order by hand. For one door and pergola manufacturer, that's the gap we closed.
Everything sales needs is saved with every configuration
The challenge was to fit the configurator into the software our client already uses, so every configuration finds its way straight into their sales process.
Every configured door or pergola now arrives in their admin dashboard as a proposal, with every selected option and a rendered image of the exact product.
The render always matches what's being quoted and if the proposal changes, the image changes with it.
From there, the same data goes into invoicing and becomes the final offer.

Real 3D at any size the customer enters
An off-the-shelf configurator can show a product. This one follows the rules of how the product is actually made.
Customers see the real finish, proportions and details at the exact dimensions they enter, on a normal phone. Because it's built on our client's own 3D models and engineering data, the configurator doesn't show anything that can't be manufactured.
Nothing gets rebuilt between inquiry and offer
What the customer configures is what ends up in the offer.
Nobody re-types the order, reinterprets a list of options or updates an image by hand. The team adjusts the proposal if needed and sends it on. Every step from the first inquiry to the final quote works from the same data, so nothing gets lost or goes out of date on the way.

What happens after your customer clicks send?
If you sell made-to-measure products, follow one order from inquiry to offer. Where does someone re-type what the customer already chose?
That's where a configurator could do more than present the product.
If your team is still translating customer requests into offers by hand, tell us what that process looks like. We'll help you work out what a connected configurator would need to do and whether building one makes sense.
We build bespoke, interconnected systems like this one: shaped around how your business actually works, owned outright and connected to the tools your team already uses.
Tell us where your sales process still runs on copy and paste, and we'll show you what connecting it looks like.
